Director of Finance

Tracy Abrahamson

Tracy Abrahamson holds the position of Director of Finance for the Kootenai County Emergency Medical Services System and is the head of the Finance and Administration Division. She also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer to the KCEMSS Joint Powers Board.

 

Tracy has built a career in corporate finance and management in a leadership role for 30+ years, both in the private and public sector.  She began her career in corporate accounting in Alaska working with a large Seattle based construction company in Anchorage and the North Slope.  She later moved to Arizona where she continued her finance career for an architect firm, then moved on to a larger organization as the accountant for a steel fabricating company.  In the early 90’s she returned to her hometown of Coeur d’Alene Idaho with her husband and their newborn son. After dabbling in real estate for a couple years, she returned to her first love of finance and became the corporate accountant for Empire Airlines in Hayden Lake Idaho.  Tracy has been recognized for her many accomplishments throughout her career as an outstanding leader and accountant with an in depth understanding of accounting practices within a variety of industry models.

 

Tracy joined the Kootenai County Emergency Medical Services System in 2003. As the Director of finance, she is responsible for all the company’s financial and administrative functions including accounting, planning and budget, audit, treasury, investments, human resources, information technology systems and risk management.  She assures that KCEMSS adheres to all federal, state and local government regulations and filing requirements, and she is the certified compliancy officer for KCEMSS. 

 

Tracy Abrahamson and her husband live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and enjoy the many outdoor activities the area has to offer.
